What we supply
High-impact picture cars, including muscle cars, luxury imports and rare vintage finds that command the frame.
Everyday cars for film from the 1920s through the early 2000s, for period dramas and street scenes.
Rugged vintage trucks, SUVs and specialized utility vehicles built to handle the Alberta elements.
If our Calgary facility does not have the exact year, make or model your script demands, our network of scouts will find it.
A picture car is any vehicle used on-camera in a film, television show or commercial. Unlike traditional rentals, our picture cars are chosen for their aesthetic value and era-appropriateness. We provide hero cars for lead characters and background film cars to fill out scenes with authenticity.
Absolutely. While we are based in Calgary, we specialize in long-distance logistics for the film industry. We provide professional shipping for our picture cars to major hubs like Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal, as well as remote filming locations.
No. Our fleet is strictly for use as cars for film. To maintain the mechanical integrity and aesthetic condition of these vehicles, they are intended for on-set use only and are managed by professional handlers.
We help Art Directors cast the right film cars for their era, so a 1980s street scene does not accidentally feature a 1990s hubcap. Authenticity is our priority.
All productions must provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) that covers the vehicle for its full replacement value and names King Picture Cars as an additionally insured party. This covers the vehicle during transport and while it is active on your set.
We offer custom sourcing across Canada. If your script requires a specific, rare or unique vehicle, our network of collectors and scouts will find the picture car to fit your character brief and budget.
Proudly serving Calgary, High River, Drumheller and the Rockies.
